Julie’s Update
Exciting news! Julie has been appointed Chair of the Chandler Arts Commission. The mission of the Commission is to expand the public experience with the visual arts by providing high-quality artworks displayed in spaces around the city. Chandler has an impressive arts program – it operates two galleries, at the Vision Gallery and Chandler Center for the Arts – and has funded hundreds of artists over the years to complete numerous small and large-scale public art projects. Julie has served on the Commission for multiple years and is looking forward to this new leadership experience!

JRC Office Summer Closure: July 1 – July 14
Mark your calendars! The JRC office will be closed for two weeks to enjoy the summer break and take some time for rest and rejuvenation. We will ensure all projects with a deadline for the end of June or mid-July will be completed before the office closes. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We will be out of office beginning Monday, July 1, and back in the office Monday, July 15.

Microsculptures from the The Pencil is Mightier exhibit at The Mini Time Machine Museum
Tucson Meet Yourself banner designed to promote volunteer opportunities
The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is breaking boundaries by hosting unparalleled exhibits, collaborations, and events. The Salavat Fidai: The Pencil is Mightier Exhibit will become a traveling exhibit this fall and the Museum is the sole U.S. retailer of Fidai’s artwork. This September, David Korins, an Emmy award-winning, three-time Tony Award-nominated set designer for Broadway shows such as Hamilton, is bringing “Stages of Imagination: The Iconic Broadway Designs of David Korins” to the Museum.
Southwest Folklife Alliance – Tucson Meet Yourself Festival
After celebrating 50 years last October, Tucson Meet Yourself are approaching this year’s festival with a fresh approach, setting the stage for the next 50 years of culture, food, music and dance. Highlighting the deep impact of “folklife,” and how we are all interconnected, keep your eyes out for an dynamic and interactive festival.
Arizona Repertory Singers hosted a successful 40th anniversary gala in April. Celebrating four decades of song, the ARS singers performed for friends, family, and choral enthusiasts who came together in support and community for this long-standing Tucson organization. We look forward to their next 40 years as they continue to share their music with the greater Tucson community.

Finally, we are very excited to welcome Katie Ormsby to the team. A talented graphic designer. Katie will be supporting us across multiple clients and projects!
